About

Rowan Hale is a pen name for the owner of this site, the person who runs the homelab it's about. That's me. The site doesn't publish my real name or where the homelab is, and Rowan Hale is the only author name it uses. AI tools help draft and check the text, and I read and approve every page before it goes up.

This site is a record of running a homelab and self-hosted services on a Starlink connection: what I set up, how it was tested and what came back. It has no deal with SpaceX, Starlink or any internet provider. None of them pays for anything here, and none of them sees a page before it goes up.

How this site makes money

Today, it doesn't. There are no ads and no sponsors, and there are no affiliate or referral links. If that ever changes, every paid link will say so right next to it, not only on this page.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to the address at the bottom of this page with the page and what's wrong. When a fix changes a fact or a number, the page gets a dated entry in its log that says what changed. Test results don't get quietly rewritten: if a retest changes a number, the log says so.

Where the numbers come from

Every number on a page comes from one of my own tests, with its date and method on that page, or from a source linked next to it with the date it was checked.

I run these tests on my own hardware, with scripts and AI agents I direct, and I check every result before it goes up.
